Artist Statement:  HMong mother with her child represents love, compassion and wisdom of my HMong community. She embodies strength, patience, caring, confidence to keep her family and extended family in harmony as her elders before her. She will inspire viewers to honor, love and keep faith in their life journeys that a mother is always there to protect her offsprings and shower them with blessings.

Artist Bio:  My family is very creative. We love art of any kinds. My background is social work, health and finance. Most of all I am a mother and feel very connected to my HMong root. I could not find an artist to create an item for me so I took initiative to experiment with clay for fun. This piece came into live. I want to share it with my community. I have made other small clay figurines as gifts for special friends. I have not yet exhibited my work.
