Artist Statement

My artwork showcases women and community issues in a positive uplifting way that we need to see more in our daily lives. I reference Black Women and Native American Women the most in my series. My work explores the varying relationships between mother and child and the black street art culture and illustration fantasy art. Having engaged subjects like BLM movement, Natural Hair and being proud of your brown skin. I use a variety of mediums in each series I produce consistently using bold color for a strong impact. Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings.
