Artist Statement - "Dragons Blood" Collection:  Dragons are believed to roam in dark waters and steal souls of anyone who dares to swim in them.  As my mother was escaping the Jungles of Laos, she approached the Mekong River to cross with me cradled in her womb.  Dragon's Blood collection captures the superstitious belief of how water dragons fragment Hmong souls and our lifeblood is altered.

Artist Bio:   Kao Lee Thao is the visual artist and 3D animator behind 'Inner Swirl,' where she taps into the subconscious and releases a person’s inner swirl as a painting. She paints to unlock inspiration and transport viewers to a world of fantasy, reminding us not to forget what imagination can accomplish in life.
