BRADLEY, L'Andrae'

Paintings

Artist Statement

‘Empowerment’ is a short series of paintings I created to express self-love, build wealth, and reach out to other like-minded individuals. Whether the paintings are together or separate, they invoke a spirit of happiness to work on our own stuff and express that self-love through our local community. This expression can also hint at therapy, support groups and creative communications, as these paintings were created during the pandemic.

Artist Bio

My art is a combination of self-discovered style and classroom participation during the years I attended The Ohio State University as early as 1997. My approach to and style of art are shaped by working in factories, warehouses, and food service, as well as by nature and the self-discipline that sitting meditation can bring. My work has been exhibited in Columbus, OH, Lima, OH, The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Virginia, MN, and in a group show in the United Kingdom. Continuous influences include being a part of the Art In The Hollow organizing committee and a resident artist at ArT @ 967 Payne.
