It’s all about the innocence of children. It was the Fourth of July, a celebration of independence. With this girl, it was also a celebration of hope and acceptance. Her eyes say, “Embrace me, love me do not make excuses.”
I first developed film more than 50 years ago. As a photojournalist, I covered events, scenes and most importantly, people. Odd, an introvert, I was compelled to focus on people. Freed from a job, my photography focused on neighborhood, here, in East St. Paul. I’ve sold some works at the Swede Hollow art festival. A photograph must be seen in its printed form. I have little digital presence.
