Artist Statement

My photographs show the faces of my community - and of yours. This is your neighbor, my mother. Maybe she will remind you of yours. Or of a community member you have made friends with. Or, maybe, a new one you haven't waved hello to. There are many that call the Twin Cities home. See the people you care about in each of them.

Artist Bio

I am self-taught. I find myself to be influenced by connection, by capturing what makes people individual to themselves and still a creation of all of the people and places that have shaped them. I am impacted and inspired by joy and loss and all our fullness. I first exhibited work at the University of Minnesota Memorial Union Gallery, and most recently at The Xia Gallery on University Avenue in St. Paul.
