Artist Statement
I am a 20-year-old artist from Ukraine. I came to America 4 months ago because of the war. Now I'm drawing and painting Ukrainian soldiers. I am inspired by their courage and desire to protect people. I want to support the Ukrainian military and refugees, to show that they are not alone in their aspirations. A second theme in my art is soldiers with animals. I am moved when I see small frightened animals seeking refuge with our military. Our Ukrainian soldiers help the animals and feed them. I consider this the best example of humanity and kindness even in times of war.
Artist Bio
I lived for 9 years in war, because Russians attacked my country.
I liked to draw since childhood. Drawing has always been my passion and therapy. I have always taken part in all possible art projects and competitions. Now I am in America and will continue to learn and improve my drawing and design skills.
