Artist Statement

Last year at this time I could have given you a canned statement but at this point I'm just taking it day by day.  I am white, and I think white people have a lot of work to do among themselves that they clearly haven't been doing.  White fragility and discomfort, as well as systems-based problems like "policing," the justice system, housing, healthcare, wage disparities, etc., these are all symptoms of a much deeper problem that we've never really reckoned with properly.

I am always happy to discuss this complex topic and listen to new viewpoints that I may not have heard before.
